Following the completion of the Quiksilver Pro, the Roxy Pro Gold Coast completed the Quarterfinals. The event whittled the field down to the final four competitors with Australians and Hawaiians battling it out for supremacy. Chelsea Hedges (AUS) was in sizzling form, posting an impressive 16.60 out of a possible 20 to dispatch of Silvana Lima (BRA) in their Quarterfinal bout. When competition resumes Hedges will face Melanie Bartels (HAW) in Semifinal 2, while Coco Ho (HAW) will face Asp Women’s World Champion Stephanie Gilmore (AUS) in Semifinal 1.
